Growing up in Wales, performing in local and national festivals was all part of normal school life, so I was acting and singing from a young age.​

I eventually graduated with a degree in Community Theatre Arts from Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama and worked for the next 15 years in Theatre, Film and TV.

As much as I enjoyed filming, nothing compared to the feeling of live performance. Once I had my first son, travelling around the  country and long filming days no longer appealed and when Finn was eight months old I filmed an episode of Casualty, my last job as an actress .

However, I soon discovered I could pass on the joy of performing by teaching music and drama to children. I have taught for the past 18 years, from babies to 11 year olds, in schools, nurseries and church halls. I have seen the skills and confidence grow in my students and truly believe in the benefits that drama can offer each and every child.
