Learning through play

At Bananadrama we offer a safe place for your child to learn new skills and explore their imagination and the world  through dramatic play. Your 3-5 year old is already growing in independence And Bananadramaoffers a safe space build on this.

At Bananadrama, they can immerse themselves in creativity and imaginary worlds, incorporating the areas of learning and development which are the cornerstones of the early years National curriculum. They can do this whilst you relax with a 'cuppa' , just outside in the waiting area!

Confidence

Lack of confidence is often rooted in the unknown, but the more you do something, the better you get at it, the more confident you feel.

Dramatic play increases self-esteem and gives children a sense of pride and accomplishment. At Bananadrama we don't push your child to do what makes them uncomfortable, we encourage them to grow, explore and flourish at their own pace.

Imagination

Every week your child will discover new worlds and wonderful characters, unlocking their creativity  on the journey.

Never underestimate using your imagination. The ability to think creatively helps with problem solving, which is a skill that can benefit throughout your whole life.

Communication & Emotions

Through carefully selected stories and  activities, we promote the growth of speaking and listening skills. When interacting in role play, children have to actively listen to conversations in order to respond.  Children who participate in dramatic play experiences are better able to show empathy, having 'walked in someone else's shoes' for a while. Drama nurtures their emotional development, giving them opportunity to develop their social interaction and communication skills.
